Mexico: Shooting at Teotihuacan Pyramids – Tourist Dead

A gunman opened fire at the Teotihuacan pyramids archaeological site, approximately 40 kilometers northeast of Mexico City. A tourist from Canada was killed by the gunfire.

The perpetrator committed suicide on the Pyramid of the Moon, the second largest pyramid in the archaeological site. Several visitors were injured while trying to escape, three of them seriously.

The motives of the perpetrator remain unclear. The area has been cordoned off by police.
