Louvre Museum: Guard Reveals Details of the Robbery

A guard at the Louvre Museum has detailed the recent robbery in the Apollo Gallery. Speaking to BFMTV, the guard stated that he saw the perpetrators cutting the glass and that his priority was the safety of the visitors.
"We are reception staff, not police officers," he emphasized, responding to criticism for inaction. There were 10-50 visitors in the gallery at the time.
The guard added that he hid near an emergency exit to monitor and inform the police. The noise from the cutting wheel was deafening.
Rachida Dati, the Minister of Culture, expressed her support for the museum staff, condemning false information regarding the security systems. She reiterated that all alarms were activated.
Emmanuel Macron has requested the acceleration of security measures at the Louvre and awaits proposals.
