London: Cypriot couple dies in Barnet house fire

A Cypriot couple tragically died in a house fire in Barnet, North London.

The victims are Andreas and Sofia Leskou, originally from Famagusta and Pano Kivides. The cause of death is attributed to smoke inhalation.

According to the Fire Department, the fire was likely caused by lit candles near flammable materials, which the couple used to light for religious reasons.

The funeral of Andreas and Sofia Leskou will be held next Thursday in Barnet.
