Le Pen Urges Bardella to Prepare for 2027 Elections

Marine Le Pen has urged Jordan Bardella to prepare for the 2027 presidential elections in France. This marks the first time Le Pen has publicly mentioned the possibility of Bardella running instead of her.

A court convicted Le Pen of misusing EU funds and banned her from running for office for five years. Le Pen stated that she accepts she cannot be a candidate and asked Bardella to prepare for this possibility.

Le Pen assured that she remains determined to run for the highest office in 2027, for the 4th time. "Jordan and I will participate in the internal party process until the appeal court decides," she explained.

In recent months, Marine Le Pen has repeatedly cast doubt on whether she believes the 29-year-old Bardella would prevail in the upcoming presidential elections.
