Congo: At Least 43 Killed in Catholic Church Attack

At least 43 people have been killed in the Democratic Republic of Congo during an attack on a Catholic church. The attack was carried out by rebels from the "Allied Democratic Forces" (ADF), an organization affiliated with the Islamic State.

The attack took place on the night of Sunday to Monday. The ADF, composed mainly of Muslim fighters and based in Uganda, has killed thousands of civilians and has escalated its attacks in northeastern Congo.

Despite the deployment of Ugandan military units to support the forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the attacks continue.
