Tuesday Weather: Clouds, Local Rain, and Fog

The weather is gradually improving today, Tuesday, according to the National Meteorological Service (EMY). The barometric low that affected the country in previous hours is moving eastward and weakening.

A few clouds are expected locally and at times increased with a few local rains. Light snowfall will occur in the mountains of eastern Macedonia in the morning. Visibility will be locally limited in the mainland, where fog will form in the morning and evening hours.

Winds will blow in the Aegean from northern directions 3 to 5 and in the southeast locally 6 Beaufort, gradually turning to south-southeasterly with the same intensity. In the rest of the country south-southeasterly 3 to 5 and in the Ionian from the afternoon locally 6, in the north gradually up to 7 Beaufort.

The temperature will not exceed 8 degrees Celsius in Thrace, in the rest of northern mainland it will reach 10 to 12 degrees, in the rest of the mainland 14 to 16 and locally in the west, south and in the rest of the island country 17 to 18 degrees Celsius.

According to meteorologist Giorgos Tsatrafyllias, two atmospheric disturbances with thunderstorms and mud rains are expected in the coming days.
