An unusual incident occurred on a flight from Malaga, Spain, to London Gatwick Airport. According to passenger complaints, a family allegedly transported the body of an 89-year-old woman inside the aircraft.

The elderly passenger was boarded in a wheelchair with the assistance of five relatives. The relatives reportedly told airline staff that the woman was tired and sleeping. Shortly before takeoff, the cabin crew was informed that the 89-year-old had died. The flight was delayed by 12 hours.

Passengers reported that the relatives said the elderly woman was tired, while another heard them say, "She's okay, we're doctors." The plane stopped shortly before takeoff when the crew realized the passenger was dead. The airline claims that the 89-year-old was alive upon boarding.

Petra Boddington, a passenger on the flight, stated that ground staff allowed someone who looked dead to board. Another passenger, 19-year-old Elizabeth Rowland, reported that the family was trying to wake the woman, who was wearing a neck brace and supported by a neck pillow.

Another passenger stated that the woman looked dead upon boarding and should not have been allowed to fly. Tracey Anne Kitching expressed her anger on social media, questioning why a dead person was allowed to board the flight.

An easyJet spokesperson stated that the flight returned to the gate due to a passenger requiring urgent medical assistance. The passenger died, and the company expressed its condolences.
