Spain: Double Murder Near Elche – Two Arrests

Two German citizens were murdered near Elche, in southeastern Spain, on Monday. Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the incident.
According to authorities, the double homicide took place around 6:00 PM in a rural area near Elche. The Alicante Civil Guard confirmed the arrests.
The nationality of the victims and those arrested has not been officially clarified by the Civil Guard. However, the newspaper El Pais reports that the victims are German and the perpetrators are Polish, known to the authorities for other offenses.
According to initial investigation findings, the victims attempted to remove the suspects from a chalet they had occupied, leading to an altercation. The perpetrators barricaded themselves in the house, but surrendered after negotiations with the police, with the help of an interpreter.
