Imamoglu: Trial for 'Fake' Diploma Set for July 6

The trial of imprisoned Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu for the 'fake' diploma has been postponed to July 6, according to SKAI's correspondent in Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis.

Ekrem Imamoglu, in his defense, accused the country's judiciary of not being independent and being controlled by one person. He also accused the state media and stated that when the time comes, 'they will run like mice'.

'No matter how many palaces you have, I care about the place I have in the hearts of the people,' he noted, adding that he is accused of being an agent, having a fake diploma, and terrorism. 'They have me in 12 sq.m., but such fear, such hatred,' he emphasized.
