Germany Seeks to Acquire F-35 Fighter Jets

Germany is seeking to acquire F-35 fighter jets from the United States.

According to sources from Berlin, the Merz government is in negotiations to purchase 35 fighter aircraft, with deliveries expected to begin in 2026.

The acquisition of the F-35s is expected to cost Germany more than $80 million.
