Germany: Far-right AfD rises to 25% in poll

The far-right "Alternative for Germany" (AfD) secures 25% in a poll conducted by the INSA Institute for the Sunday Bild, increasing its percentage by one unit.
The AfD continues to flirt with the lead in the polls, a few months after the election victory of the Christian Union (CDU/CSU) that led Friedrich Merz to the chancellorship.
The INSA poll showed almost unchanged the forces of the parties compared to the previous week. The Christian Union (CDU/CSU) maintains the first place with 27% while its government partner, the Social Democratic Party (SPD), secures 15%.
The Greens follow with 11% and the Left party with 10%. The newly formed Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) is at 4% and the Liberals (FDP) at 3%.
The INSA poll was conducted between July 28 and August 1, with the participation of 1,203 registered voters.
