France: Driver in Car Attack Suspected of Radicalization

The driver who drove his car into a crowd in western France is suspected of radicalization, according to Interior Minister **Laurent Nuñez**.
“Explicit religious references” were found at the perpetrator's home. Nuñez stated that the perpetrator shouted **'Allahu Akbar'.**
The attack occurred on the **Île d'Oléron** and injured five people. Two of the injured remain in serious condition.
The anti-terrorism prosecutor's office will determine, through psychiatric evaluation, whether there were religious motives behind the attack.
