France: Sébastien Lecornu Appointed Prime Minister

France's Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, has been appointed as the new Prime Minister by President Emmanuel Macron.
He succeeds François Bayrou, who lost the confidence of the French National Assembly. Lecornu is the fifth Prime Minister of France in less than two years.
Lecornu is tasked with securing parliamentary approval for the budget, where the government currently lacks a majority.
