France: Sébastien Lecornu Appointed New Prime Minister

French President Emmanuel Macron has appointed Sébastien Lecornu, formerly Minister of the Armed Forces, as the new Prime Minister. Lecornu replaces François Bayrou, who resigned.
Lecornu is the fifth Prime Minister of France in less than two years. He faces the challenge of getting the budget approved by parliament, where the government does not have a majority.
