Finland: 30-Year-Old MP Eemeli Peltonen Found Dead in Parliament

A 30-year-old member of parliament, Eemeli Peltonen, was found dead inside the Finnish Parliament in Helsinki. Peltonen was a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

According to reports, Peltonen allegedly took his own life. He had recently revealed that he was struggling with health issues, including serious kidney problems and a bacterial infection.

Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo expressed his condolences regarding the news. The Speaker of Parliament expressed condolences to Peltonen's family and loved ones.

Eemeli Peltonen began his political career at a young age, being elected to the local city council at 18. He later became chairman of the city council of Järvenpää.

Finnish police are investigating the case and report that there is no indication of foul play.
