Ransomware Attack Causes Disruptions at European Airports

The EU cybersecurity agency (ENISA) has confirmed that the issues affecting automated check-in systems at European airports since Friday are due to a ransomware attack.
ENISA stated that law enforcement authorities are investigating the attack, which locks data until a ransom is paid. The agency confirmed that ransomware is responsible for the problems.
Hackers disabled automated check-in systems provided by Collins Aerospace, affecting airports such as Heathrow, Brussels, and Berlin. Berlin airport continues to experience issues, with over 92,000 travelers expected today due to the marathon.
