Greece: Rain and Thunderstorms in the Coming Days

Greece is expected to experience a wave of rain and thunderstorms over the next ten days, according to meteorologists Theodoros Kolydas and Yannis Kallianos. Despite the rainfall, no intense cold is expected.
Theodoros Kolydas predicts mild weather for the season, with temperatures above normal levels. However, more rain is expected in the Mediterranean and Greece in the first week, while in the second week the phenomena will be more geographically limited.
Yannis Kallianos draws attention to periods of intense phenomena, warning of local floods and traffic problems. Wednesday evening, Thursday and Friday are of particular interest, with an increased probability of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in the western and northwestern parts of the country. In the Ionian Sea, winds will reach 7 to 8 Beaufort, and there will be a transfer of African dust.
Thursday is expected to be the rainiest day, with heavy rain and thunderstorms in most of the country. Winds will reach up to 9 Beaufort locally in the Aegean Sea, while snowfall will occur in the mountains.
From Saturday, temperatures are expected to rise, with values up to 20 degrees Celsius in the central and southern regions, and up to 24 degrees in northern Crete.
