Widespread Damage from Severe Weather in Greece

Severe weather is causing extensive damage, landslides, and serious problems on the road network in various regions of Greece.
The situation is particularly critical in Taygetos, where two settlements have been evacuated as a precaution. The Peloponnese Region has requested that the entire prefecture be declared a state of emergency.
Images of destruction are also being recorded in Corfu. The Civil Protection is advising citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and to follow the instructions of local authorities.
