Two earthquakes struck Crete within minutes on Friday (6/2), according to the Geodynamic Institute of Athens.

The first earthquake, measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale, had its epicenter 16 kilometers east, southeast of Ierapetra, with a focal depth of 11.8 kilometers.

A few minutes later, a second earthquake, measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale, occurred with its epicenter 23 kilometers east, southeast of Chrissi in Lassithi and a focal depth of 7.2 kilometers.
