Denmark: Pro-Russian Hackers Cyberattack Political Parties Before Elections

Pro-Russian hackers carried out a cyberattack on political parties in Denmark on the eve of municipal and regional elections. The group NoName057 claimed responsibility.
The websites of the Conservative Party and the Unity List were affected, making access impossible for several hours. The Copenhagen Post, an English-language newspaper, was also targeted.
The Danish Security and Intelligence Service stated that it is monitoring the situation and that these are DDoS attacks, which aim to disrupt and attract attention.
The Minister for Civil Protection and Preparedness, Torsten Schack Pedersen, assured that the elections will proceed as planned and urged citizens not to worry.
