Austria: Vienna Airport Affected by Heavy Snowfall

Heavy snowfall in Austria caused disruptions at Vienna Airport, leading to the temporary suspension of flights. More than 230 flights were affected, including diversions, cancellations, and delays.
Airport authorities advised passengers whose flights were canceled not to go to the airport, as the snow reached 20 centimeters. The Vienna outer ring road (A21) was also closed, and power outages were reported in southern and eastern regions, including Styria, where 30,000 households were affected.
The weather was expected to improve by noon, but the risk of avalanches remained high.
