Mild and relatively stable weather is expected in Greece this week, according to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY). After light rains mainly in the central and northern regions, the weather will improve from Tuesday, with sunshine and temperatures close to normal levels.

Most of the week will be clear, with local clouds in the south and central Greece. Possible local rains in Crete, the Cyclades and the Peloponnese, and weak phenomena in the northwest towards the end of the week.

Winds will blow from northerly directions, strengthened in the Aegean Sea. The temperature will remain at normal levels, with a slight increase towards the middle of the week.

From March 16-17 onwards, there is greater uncertainty in the forecasts, with possible alternations of warmer and colder air masses.

On the morning of Sunday 08/03, the mercury dropped to -1 to -2 °C in areas of the mainland, with the lowest temperature recorded in Mavrolithari Fokidas (-2.1 °C).
