Vietnam: 10-Year-Old Survives Ha Long Bay Shipwreck

At least 38 people have died in a tourist boat sinking in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. A 10-year-old boy was rescued from an air pocket inside the capsized vessel.

The boat capsized due to severe weather. Dang An Tuan, a 36-year-old survivor, described how the boat overturned suddenly. Authorities reported strong winds, heavy rain, and lightning in the area.

The accident occurred on Saturday (July 19) shortly after Typhoon Uifa entered the South China Sea. Ha Long Bay is a popular tourist destination.
