Nepal is in turmoil following the resignation of Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli. Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets of the capital, Kathmandu, setting fire to government buildings, police stations, and politicians' homes.

Oli's resignation came after deadly clashes between protesters and police, which resulted in at least 19 deaths. Protesters expressed anger over corruption and the blocking of social media.

The President of Nepal, Ramchandra Poudel, has called for national unity and a peaceful resolution to the crisis. Meanwhile, the government has lifted the ban on social media and launched an investigation into the events.

K.P. Sharma Oli, head of the Communist Party of Nepal, resigned after a long political career.
