China to Inaugurate World's Highest Bridge

China is preparing to inaugurate the world's highest bridge, the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, which stands 624 meters above the ground. This project is expected to significantly reduce travel time for residents of Guizhou province.
The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge surpasses the previous record held by the Beipanjiang Bridge (565 meters). It is 2,892 meters long and spans a gorge.
The completion of the bridge will reduce travel time between Guanling and Zhenfeng counties from two hours to just two minutes. It also features a 700-foot transparent elevator and a glass walkway for pedestrians.
Despite technological advancements, China faces challenges regarding safety in infrastructure projects.
