Sri Lanka: Elephant Attacks Russian Tourists Trying to Feed It

Tourists in Sri Lanka experienced moments of terror when an elephant attacked their vehicle after they tried to feed it. The incident occurred during a wildlife safari and involved Russian tourists, including an 11-year-old child.
As seen in a video, the three-ton elephant shook the tourists' van and then used its trunk to remove the door, searching for fruit the tourists had with them.
Liliya Mikhailovskaya from Kazan stated: "We almost lost our lives... We will never forget this trip to Sri Lanka... It was so scary that the child froze. Thank God, everything went well, but we are all in shock."
The incident occurred in a national park. Locals warn that such "patrols" are common.
