Rome: €2 Ticket for the Trevi Fountain Starting 2026

Starting February 1, 2026, tourists will be required to pay a €2 ticket to access the Trevi Fountain in Rome. This measure is expected to generate €6.5 million annually for the city, according to the mayor.
Only residents of Rome will continue to have free access to the monument, which attracts huge crowds daily. Viewing the monument from a distance will remain free, while close-up access will be exclusively for ticket holders. The attraction is estimated to receive 30,000 visitors per day.
