Italy: Tickets Required for Popular Verona and Rome Attractions

Verona and Rome are following Venice's lead by changing their policies regarding tourist access to popular attractions.
In Verona, starting December 6th, the famous courtyard and balcony of the house associated with Romeo and Juliet will only be accessible with a ticket. Entry to the house museum costs 12 euros for adults.
Couples wishing to take photos on the balcony will only have 60 seconds. Furthermore, the number of visitors allowed in the house at the same time is reduced from 130 to 100.
Marta Ugolini, Verona's head of culture and tourism, stated that the city aims to protect both visitors and the historical site, especially during periods of high traffic, such as Christmas.
