The Dangerous Duinrell Water Slide with Breath-Holding Test

A particularly challenging water slide, known as Fly Over, operated at the Duinrell amusement park in the Netherlands from 1994 to 2010. Its peculiarity was that it was a fully submerged slide.
Visitors had to hold their breath for 15-20 seconds during the ride, as the tube was filled with water. Before being allowed to use the slide, park staff tested bathers' breath-holding ability, requiring them to hold their breath for at least 10 seconds.
Despite the challenge, no accidents were reported during its 16 years of operation. Fly Over closed in 2010.
