Famous architects such as Kengo Kuma, Philippe Starck, and David Chipperfield have designed hotels that have gone viral for their architecture.

The Banyan Tree Higashiyama in Kyoto, Japan, designed by Kengo Kuma, was inspired by the ancient Japanese Noh theater. It features a bamboo pavilion, natural hot springs, and a wooden Noh theater stage.

The Maison Heler in Metz, France, designed by Philippe Starck, is a surreal 9-story hotel with a 19th-century metal mansion on top. The rooms hide mental games, and the restaurant is decorated with objects from Heler's travels.
