A new Cloudwards report reveals the beaches with the most complaints in Europe, focusing on crowding, dirt, and noise.

Bournemouth Beach in the United Kingdom holds the top spot in Europe for negative reviews. Italy has many beaches with overcrowding issues, with La Pelosa in Sardinia ranking first globally in this area.

In Greece, Balos Lagoon in Crete ranks seventh worldwide for dirt, while Elafonisi has many complaints about crowding. Porto Katsiki in Lefkada is in the top ten for noise.

Cloudwards analyzed over 1.3 million TripAdvisor reviews for 200 beaches worldwide, filtering negative reviews with keywords related to dirt, crowding, queues, and noise.

Some areas are taking measures to address overtourism, such as implementing a €20 entry fee for cruise ships to busy Greek islands.
