NASA Studies Wi-Fi and Internet on the Moon

NASA is exploring ways to provide astronauts on the Moon with access to Wi-Fi and 3GPP technologies (LTE/4G and 5G) during their spacewalks.
Raymond Wagner, principal investigator of NASA's Lunar 3GPP project, stated that the use of these technologies will bring spacewalks into the 21st century, offering an immersive high-definition experience.
With the "Artemis" mission, NASA aims to return to the Moon and establish a permanent presence, paving the way for future missions to Mars.
