NASA Studies Creating Internet on the Moon

NASA is exploring ways to create an internet network on the Moon, allowing astronauts to stay connected during their spacewalks. The technologies being considered include 3GPP (LTE/4G and 5G) and Wi-Fi.
Raymond Wagner, principal investigator of NASA's Lunar 3GPP project, stated that this will bring spacewalks into the 21st century, offering an immersive high-definition experience.
With the 'Artemis' mission, NASA aims to return to the Moon and establish a permanent presence, paving the way for future missions to Mars.
