Elon Musk: 'The Future May Not Have Mobile Phones'

Elon Musk predicts that mobile phones may be replaced by Neuralink's neuro-implants. According to Musk, the implants will allow device control and internet access through thought.
Neuralink has already implanted a chip in a human, Noland Arbaugh, who can control a computer with his mind. Arbaugh reports that the device has significantly improved his quality of life, allowing him to study and work.
The Neuralink implant is 23 millimeters in diameter and contains 1,024 electrodes. Musk estimates that the technology will be safe enough for mass use in a few years, despite ethical and technical challenges.
