OpenAI has announced the introduction of advertisements to ChatGPT, initially targeting users in the United States. This move aims to secure resources for the platform's continued development.

The ads will appear to users of the free version and the "Go" subscription. The company assures that user conversations remain private and will not be used for advertising purposes. The ads will be thematically related to the content of the conversation.

It is not yet clear whether the measure will be extended to Europe. Users of the Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education subscription packages will not see ads.
