OpenAI CEO: ChatGPT Conversations Are Not Private

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman warns that conversations with ChatGPT are not protected by legal privacy privileges. In a recent interview, Altman emphasized that in the event of legal proceedings, OpenAI may be obligated to hand over user conversations.

This comes as more and more users, especially young people, are using ChatGPT for psychological support, discussing personal issues such as anxiety, loneliness, and depression. Altman stresses that, unlike conversations with psychologists or lawyers, there is no legal privacy protection for interactions with ChatGPT.
