Increased Reports of GPS Issues in Cyprus

There has been an increase in reports from citizens in Cyprus regarding GPS malfunctions in recent days, as recorded on social media. Similar incidents were reported last year around the same period.
According to reports, the interference affects mobile telephony, terrestrial digital television, and GPS-based systems such as drone applications. Last year, an official from the Electronic Communications of the Deputy Ministry of Research and Innovation reported incidents of drones being lost due to communication problems.
Citizens are reporting difficulties with map applications on their mobile phones and problems during drone flights.
The GPSJAM website, which monitors interference, recorded significant activity in the Cyprus region from June 13, coinciding with Israel's first attack on Iran.
The responsible Deputy Ministry has not yet issued an official statement regarding the recent incidents.
