AI and Cyberattacks: Identification Becomes More Difficult
Share on:

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) by cybercriminals is making the identification of cyberattacks more difficult, according to Kaspersky.

Kaspersky's GReAT experts report that attackers are using AI to generate code, phishing messages, and attack content. AI-generated material is standardized, lacking the linguistic errors that previously helped attribute attacks.

Georgy Kucherin of Kaspersky stated that AI is transforming attackers' processes and accelerating their operations. Kaspersky also highlights the following trends:

  • Development of malware with the help of AI.
  • Data exfiltration via the cloud.
  • Ransomware targeting business operations.
  • AI agents as access retention tools.
  • Risk to satellite networks.
