US Open: Karolína Muchová in Tears After Spotting Ex

Czech tennis player Karolína Muchová broke down in tears during the US Open after spotting her ex-partner in the stands.

The incident occurred during her match against Sorana Cirstea, where Muchová, while trailing 1-4 in the first set, became upset and tearful. She requested a break to compose herself and continued the match, eventually winning with 7-6(0), 6-7(3), 6-4.

In post-match statements, Muchová explained that the presence of her ex-partner, whom she described as a person with abusive behavior, frightened her. She mentioned that she asked him to leave, and he eventually did.

Two days later, Muchová defeated Linda Nosková and reassured reporters that the situation had normalized. In her next match, she will face Marta Kostyuk.
