Indian Wells: Swiatek eliminates Sakkari

Maria Sakkari was defeated by Iga Swiatek with 6-3, 6-2 in the third round of Indian Wells. Following her victory over Swiatek in Doha, Sakkari was unable to repeat her success.

In the first set, Sakkari started strongly, breaking Swiatek, but the Polish player responded immediately, leveling the score at 2-2 and taking the lead. Swiatek dominated, closing the set at 6-3.

In the second set, Swiatek broke and took a 2-0 lead. Sakkari equalized at 2-2, but Swiatek regained the lead and finished the set at 6-2.
