Qatar Confirms Bid for 2036 Olympic Games

Qatar has confirmed its bid to host the 2036 Olympic Games. The Qatar Olympic Committee officially announced its intention to bid for the hosting of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2036, confirming ongoing consultations with the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
If Qatar secures the event, it will mark a historic milestone, becoming the first country in the Middle East and North Africa to host the Olympic Games.
The President of the Olympic Committee, Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani, stated that 95% of the required facilities are already ready.
Other candidate cities include Nusantara (Indonesia), Istanbul (Turkey), Ahmedabad (India), and Santiago (Chile).
