Donald Trump inaugurated a new golf course in Balmedie, Scotland, where he stayed for four days. At the opening ceremony, Trump cut the ribbon in the presence of his sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, who have taken over the management of the family businesses.

During the event, Trump danced to the YMCA by the Village People and took the first swing on the new course. He stated that he was looking forward to playing on the new course and that he would then return to Washington to "put out fires." The First Minister of Scotland, John Swinney, also attended the event.

Donald Trump's presence at the inauguration reignited the discussion about the conflict of interest between his role as a businessman and his role as president. Political opponents and non-governmental organizations accuse him of using his official position to promote his family's businesses.

The new course includes "the largest bunker in the world" and was designed "with respect for the environment," according to a related text shared with journalists.
