Mercedes' Legendary Race Cars at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Mercedes-Benz showcased its iconic race cars at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, celebrating its long history in motorsports.
Five "Silver Arrows" from different eras participated, with the highlight being the driving of the W 196 R (1955) and Mercedes-AMG F1 W13 E Performance (2022) single-seaters in the celebration of 75 years of Formula 1.
Equally impressive was the presence of the W 196 R and 300 SLR (W 196 S) duo, with the former driven by Juan Manuel Fangio to win the Formula 1 championships in 1954 and 1955, and the latter giving Mercedes the Sports Car World Championship in 1955. The duo was accompanied by the “Blaues Wunder”.
A W 196 R Streamliner was auctioned for €51.55 million in January 2025, while the 300 SLR “Uhlenhaut Coupé” was sold for €135 million in 2022.
The W 125 (1937), 300 SL (W 194, 1952) and C 11 (1990) race cars also participated.
Mercedes also honored Jochen Maas, former racing driver and ambassador, who passed away on May 4, 2025.
