Neymar: "I might retire from football in December"

Neymar has hinted at a possible retirement from professional football in December, after the World Cup. The 34-year-old Brazilian forward, who returned to Santos after a stint with Al-Hilal, stated that his constant injuries have created many problems.

"I don't know what will happen in the future. I might want to end my career in December. I live day by day, but the constant injuries have created many problems for me," he said.

Neymar, who has extended his contract with Santos until the end of 2026, aims to participate in the World Cup to be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. He is the all-time top scorer for the Brazilian national team with 79 goals.

His last appearance with the "Seleção" was on October 17, 2023, when he suffered a serious knee injury against Uruguay.
