Vagiannidis on the bench for Sporting's premiere - 2-0 win against Casa Pia

Sporting Lisbon started their Primeira Liga title defense with a 2-0 away win against Casa Pia. Goals were scored by Trincão (42') and Hjulmand (62').

Giorgos Vagiannidis, Sporting's new signing from Panathinaikos, remained on the bench and was not used by coach Rui Borges.
