UEFA Changes Kick-off Time for Champions League Final

UEFA has announced a historic change to the kick-off time of the Champions League final. Starting from the 2025/26 season, the final will begin at 19:00 (CET), instead of the previously held 22:00 or 21:45.

According to UEFA's announcement, this change aims to improve the experience for fans, teams, and host cities. UEFA seeks to create a more 'friendly' time for fans, as well as facilitate access to transportation and the safety of travel.

Furthermore, UEFA believes that the new kick-off time will increase the economic impact of the match on host cities and help the final reach a wider television audience, especially younger viewers.

This year's final in Budapest will still be held at the old time.
