Lanoue Videos End: Reactions and Background at EPO

The Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) has decided to stop broadcasting the weekly videos of chief referee Stéphane Lannoy, which presented controversial moments from the matches.
According to the EPO's announcement, the videos were aimed at educating the public, but ended up being used for exploitation. This decision appears to be taken at a time of internal turmoil within the EPO, against the backdrop of refereeing and relations between the major teams.
Columnist Photis Pliakos reports that Lannoy's videos did not educate the public, but presented their own rules and concealed mistakes. Furthermore, he notes that the termination of the videos comes at a time when a rift is observed in the alliance between PAOK and Olympiacos in the EPO, following the refereeing in matches such as PAOK-Aris.
The EPO's announcement was made shortly before Christmas, a period considered suitable for decisions that they want to go unnoticed.
