AEK goalkeeper, Thomas Strakosha, spoke about the upcoming derby against PAOK in Toumba, emphasizing that his team has "open accounts" after the defeat in the first round. In his statements to Novasports channels, Strakosha described the game as the most difficult of the season.

"I think it will probably be the most difficult derby of this season. We are in a good moment, and so are they. We are the two best teams so far in the championship," he noted.

Referring to the defeat by PAOK in Nea Filadelfeia, Strakosha said: "We know that we were hurt by the defeat in our derby in the first round at our home, where we were not good. We owe them something..."

Regarding his personal performance, Strakosha attributed it to his psychological balance and the positive climate in the team. He singled out his performance in the match against Asteras Tripolis as his best so far.
