Sporting Lisbon defeated Guimarães 5-1 in the 32nd matchday of the Primeira Liga, returning to second place in the standings.

Goals for Sporting were scored by Inácio (9'), Bragança (23'), Araújo (45'+1'), Suárez (61'), and Luís Guilherme (74'). Guimarães reduced the deficit with an own goal by Debast in the 85th minute.

Giorgos Vagiannidis was unused, while Fotis Ioannidis was out due to injury.
