Tottenham faces potential financial ruin if relegated from the Premier League, with possible losses exceeding £250 million. They are just one point above the relegation zone.

According to a BBC Sport analysis, relegation could cost Tottenham £261 million. The team recorded revenues of £690 million last year, but these would be significantly reduced.

Ticket revenues will fall, as will television revenue. Sponsorships, such as Nike and AIA, would also decrease. Football finance expert Kieran Maguire said recovery would be a multi-year project.

Gareth Bale, a former Tottenham player, said the team doesn't spend enough money on players.

Tottenham had losses of £129 million last year. While relegation would reduce some expenses, operating costs will remain high. There is a clause to reduce wages by 50% in the event of relegation, but operating costs, such as stadium maintenance, will remain the same.
